In short
The RIBY.PL green route, the Gulf of Gdańsk Ring, is a RIB boat trip of about 2 hours. We start from the marina in Gdynia, pass the port, the Babie Doły torpedo station and Rewa, sail along the Rewa Spit to Kuźnica, and then past Jastarnia and Jurata with the residence of the President of Poland to Hel, from where we return to Gdynia.

Quick route description
We set off from the marina in Gdynia and head west straight away. On the port side you can see the monstrous Sea Towers building and the commercial and naval ports.
Next we spot the ruins of the torpedo station at Babie Doły – an unusual structure in the sea, a relic of the Second World War, which was part of the film set of Czterej Pancerni and the series Kryminalni.
Another interesting place is Rewa, with a small peninsula that is part of a shoal beginning on the other side of the bay – at Kuźnica.
From Rewa we head for Kuźnica – along the shoal known as the Rewa Spit, which divides the Bay of Puck into two parts. When the water level in the bay is low, you can walk from Kuźnica to Rewa, swimming only 800 m. The spit is a former military range, so watch out for unpleasant leftovers, but it is also a breeding ground for many birds and seals.
Approaching Kuźnica, in the distance we can see a paradise for windsurfing and kitesurfing lovers – Chałupy. A place famous for the best conditions in Europe for these sports.
From Kuźnica to Jastarnia you have to weave about for a while to avoid the shallows. Jastarnia has a port served in summer by the water tram from Gdynia. Jastarnia is the second-largest town on the Peninsula. From the Jastarnia harbour heads you can already see the beautiful pier in Jurata, and beyond it the heavily guarded residence of the President of the Republic of Poland, which is often visited by the current president. From this point we can see a very long stretch of wild beach. Until now these beaches lay within a military unit, so today they are undeveloped and unknown to tourists. A true paradise on earth. The last point is Hel, where it is worth seeing, among other things, the Seal Sanctuary and the tip of the Hel Peninsula, which until recently was also off-limits to civilians. Here we will have the chance to see the boundary between the Gulf of Gdańsk and the Baltic Sea. From Hel we head back to Gdynia.

The main entrance to the Port of Gdynia. Today it is one of three ports of this size in Poland. In 1922, however, it was Poland's first port – a true window on the world. The port area also includes shipyards, container terminals, cargo-handling terminals and the Naval Port.
This building is still in use and being renovated. One of two torpedo stations built during the Second World War. This one belonged to the Nazi navy. Today it is occupied by the Formoza unit.

A very interesting site. A relic of the Second World War. Built by the Nazi air force. Today it is a crumbling building, a bird habitat and, every now and then, a film set for various productions. For example Czterej Pancerni i Pies or Kryminalni (TVN series). Without doubt the site hides a very interesting history and is one of many elements of Nazi wartime architecture in this part of Gdynia.

A very pleasant place. The peninsula extends from Rewa and cuts into the Bay of Puck. It is the beginning or end of the shoal called Mewia Rewa (which we write about separately). It is separated from it only by an artificial 700 m wide cut (Depka), made with the port in Puck in mind. This is also where the annual Marsz Śledzia event ends.

A charming, very interesting and unusual place. A shoal which, depending on the water level in the Gulf, is covered by 10 cm of water or rises above it to form a beach up to 10 m wide. Today it is a bird and seal reserve – part of the Natura 2000 project. Next to Mewia Rewa there is a former bombing range, as evidenced by wrecks lying in the water. The most interesting of them is the wreck of the submarine ORP Kujawiak, whose conning tower sticks out above the water.
Jastarnia – one of three towns on the Hel Peninsula. Visited by many in summer. A base for divers. A fishing and tourist port. The "water tram" from Gdynia calls at Jastarnia.

Jurata is the Sopot of the Hel Peninsula. A place with a very distinctive, lazy summer atmosphere. We are always happy to come back to it. On the Gulf side we can stroll along the pier, and on the Baltic Sea side along one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. From the Gulf you can admire more remains from the Second World War – observation posts built as part of the torpedo testing ground.

The Summer Residence of the President of the Republic of Poland. Loved and often visited by every president of our country. Aleksander Kwaśniewski allocated considerable sums to its restoration. The only way to see it in person is a motorboat trip. Heavily guarded during the head of state's visits. The residence became famous in 2007, when President George W. Bush visited our country and President Lech Kaczyński chose Jurata as the venue for talks on the missile defence shield.
From Jurata to Hel stretches pristine land that once belonged to the military. Today the area is covered by the Natura 2000 project and dotted with numerous military sites, which we will gladly tell you about on board our motorboat. In today's Hel you can clearly feel its very interesting wartime and post-war history. In Hel itself you will find the former Naval port and the fishing port. The two ports are separated by a beach and the Seal Sanctuary. Between them there is also a sunken wreck, which is a paradise for divers. Hel is the destination port for water trams from Gdynia.

The headland of the Hel Peninsula is its very tip. Until 2004 the headland remained closed to civilians and under the control of the Polish Army. Today the army has withdrawn from the area, so you can freely explore this part of the Peninsula. From the water you can see a heavenly beach, and sailing round the peninsula gives an interesting perspective for admiring this fabulous place. Since 2010 it has been the setting for a re-enactment of the famous invasion – D-Day.
